Angels Foster Home (AFH) is located in northern Beijing and was founded in December 2007 by AngelMom. AFH provides a full range of care for orphans under 14 years old who were born with congenital diseases or deformities. Children are provided with critical medical treatments, as well as pre- and post-operative care and rehabilitation.
Children under the care of AFH suffer from various congenital abnormalities such as cleft lip and palate, heart diseases, limb deformity, cerebral palsy and intestinal atresia. Currently the Home can accommodate up to 15 children at a time. Professionally trained caregivers as well as devoted volunteers offer excellent care for these children, who have traveled to Beijing seeking much-needed medical treatments. Usually after four to six months of post-surgery recovery, the children either return to the orphanages they came from, or transition to foster or adoptive families that AFH arranges for them.
Since its establishment, AFH has accepted 38 children in total, of which 14 have since been adopted by loving families. Most of the children at AFH were treated successfully and have recovered well. During his or her stay, each child was given the fullest attention, and more importantly, love.
With most of the AFH children leaving for a better life, new ones arrive to replace them.
